Brazil: Lula wins presidential election
12 years after leaving power, Lula is back at the helm of Brazil. The 77-year-old former steelworker narrowly won Sunday’s presidential election. by taking 50.9% of the votes in the second round against 49.1 for the outgoing far-right president Jair Bolsonaro. The latter has not yet reacted.

At least 132 dead after bridge collapse in India
The pictures are wonderful. A suspension bridge spanning a river in the western Indian state of Gujarat collapsed on Sunday. So far, at least 132 have died, according to authorities.
